Hi Lyle,
Thank-you for your positive re-inforcement and advice.Well taken.Others on this site have taken this issue to all 4 directions and in between.I do appreciate all of it.But just looking for, yes,no,absolutely not, answers. You did that.Thank-You. There is a gentleman here in Prescott that is kind of a car hoarder. He has at least 6 Honda 600's.Coupes and sedans. All in various states. As well as 3GMC motorhomes,66 Corvette,Jag XKE and a Maserati. He is 80 yrs old and was a mechanic in his younger days. Was just given an N 600
1969.It runs.He wants me to bring him my current fuel pump to see if it will run on his 69.He thinks i might have an air leak from a fuel line.Wouldn't i smell gas?? Anyhow,i ordered the new fuel pump and will have to have the car towed into town to have work done.I have a mechanic who has worked on the car and wants to "play" with it again.By "play",i mean he is up to a challenge, figured out a mind boggling brake light issue. I'm confident in him as i am only a nurse and a wanna be wrench. My friend Maurice Pettit, loaned me his Honda manual. So now i have something to look at.Have not yet been able to get the latch covers in place.Haven't tried the hair dryer yet,but scared to ruin them as they are Beauty.
OMG,sorry to be so yacky,
Laurie, hunyburd@...

On the shelf at most auto parts stores, nice when your broke down far from home. Of course it's not like the original, so plastic tie wrap it in place, I also used foam in the fuel pump container so nothing will rattle around. Make sure the fuel lines are in good shape and don't kink. Good time to replace them and check electrical connections. Pull the fuel line at the carb and make sure you have good fuel flow. Check for leaks before you put the cover and rear seat back in.

Tried to proceed.Didn't get far.Came home not like we left.Did get it started again this past weekend after checking fuel level, venting etc.turned on the car and pump made it's normal click, click and floop, floop sounds. Started her up and she ran for awhile (5 min or so) then the howling started again and engine slowly quit and died.Stepping on the accelerator did nothing.Soooo,i believe it is the pump.Does anyone know where i might find a Working fuel pump used,New,or alternative??

Hi Laurie,
The image and info on the fuel pump at Auto Parts Warehouse looks the same as the fuel pumps from the other 2 sites which have been recommended.  I don't know what is meant by OE replacement ....... it doesn't look anything like the original equipment.
Any of these fuel pumps can be made to work.  You will need to do some work to make it attach into the coupe's fuel pump compartment since they are not the same dimensions as the original.
Are you sure the fuel pump is your problem?
good luck,
Dale
