Just putting the finisheing touches on my '72 z coupe,

I put a new/used heater blower motor on and when i hook up the wires it runs, the switch is off inside and the key is not on, but when i try to hook it up it starts running, why??

In past experience, blower motors feed from the ground their negative end, only the positive is switched. Sounds like its picking up always closed positive from another wire.

Thanks, got it working right, NOT that i need it living in sunny Arizona (ha!)Just want everything to work.
I had it pluged into the wrong wire, should of known the colors didn't match (daa!) r/y wire was hidden under windshield washer bag
