Sedan Window Sweep

Post by John Ph. Graf »

Is there an after market replacement available for the sedan door
outside window sweep? It's that rubber seal between the bottom of the
crank down window and the outside of the car which keeps [most] of
the rain from running down alongside the window down into the door
interior. I need that piece on each side of my sedan. Also would like
the similar piece that goes on the inside of the doors, along the
bottom edge of the glass.
Lastly, has anyone made a replacement trim piece that finishes off
the transition from the sedan door panel to that interior sweep
mentioned above? If you've made something passable to replace that
hard to find trim piece that's missing or broken on so many cars, I'd
like to know what you did and/or how you did it. I need to replace
both sides which are missing from my sedan. Or email me off list.
Thanks. John

Can we have details on your retrofit for window seals? I'm sure several of us have missing seals. Can you tell us where you got the Plymouth seal? What about the different mounting procedure? Thanks!
