replacement coil

Post by Kris Dahl »

May be a stupid question, but how would I go about finding an
aftermarket replacement ignition coil for the Z/N600s? Most of the
coils I see have just the one high voltage output, but the Honda one
has one per spark plug.
I'm not real familar with external coils, etc. so please forgive my
ignorance. Any ideas?

Not a stupid question . . .
Motorcycle salvage shops can sell you a similar coil - that's the
route I went in the past. I'm sure others on the list can chime in -
but it's pretty much the same as any other 12V twin motorcycle.

Kris:
I put new wires on them and use the same coil. I have a picture
tutorial on tha ANZhonda600owners Yahoo Group site, walks you through
putting on new wires. Not hard and the finished product works great. I
have only found one coil I couldn't fix in all the years I have been working
on Honda 600's.
