N600 Muffler

Post by honda600wiz »

Thank you for this information.
Does anyone know if there is a new muffler and silencer that works on this
car? I can't be the first one to have this problem and I doubt everyone
has solved it with a used one. Please advise if you have input on where to
get a new suitable one locally.
Thanks!

N600 Muffler

Post by Douglas »

Hi there. I hope everyone is well.
I just need the muffler can in the back for my N600 sedan. Has anyone purchased a muffler from some place on line recently that is small, quiet and fits into the small area that exists for the muffler on the N600? Can you give me a link to what you purchased exactly?
Last time the muffler shop happened to have a very small one that fit but now they said to me "find something and bring it back to us"...
Thanks very much!

I believe the Imco CM-43 was recommended in a group discussion a while back:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/IMO-CM43/
Looks to be out of stock currently, but expected in mid-October. Nice price.

... but I think brackets will need to be made for it.

Thank you but I actually purchased that very muffler in the past and ended up reselling it on ebay because it did not fit. I don't recall the brackets being an issue. It was just too large around.
Any other suggestions for mufflers?
Thanks!

CM43 is the one I installed on my sedan. I did all my own welding and bending. As I recall only 1" larger in diameter than the stock one. I either put it on Dinky or Truckster and I think the original drop bracket went away. It's been 10 years or so.

Hi. Thanks to those that responded, but I wondered if anyone knows of a muffler other than the CM43 that they have used on a Sedan successfully.
Thanks!
