We have a Bandai Isetta as well but would not sell even at those prices.  My wife's father gave it to her right after they got their Isetta in 1958 In the intervening years it had been loved to death.  The hinges are shot and the door is held on with 20 year old twine, the paint is faced to an overall pale something the wheels are wobbly but to her it is priceless.  Needless to say no box.  It is actually one of the reasons we have microcars and micro-friends all over the world.
Lets not despair for the hobby just because of a potential price spike.  Get out in your shops and garages and have fun and don't worry too much about the prices.  Hey I just had a thought.  It is not the price of the cars that has gone up they are still the same price they were last month it must have been the value of the work that goes into them.  Since that is the case all of us that do work on the cars are getting huge pay increases.  Woo Hoo!
