Broken Bolt

Post by baldwin_elias »

Ok, so I broke off the bolt on the front of the engine, the one that the ground strap bolts to. Its broken off down in there, so I filled the hole with penetrating oil. Anybody have any experience with left-hand drill bits? Any advice?

It depends on how the bolt broke off. If it was cross threaded and forced in tight all the way or if it had corroded in and broke trying to remove it the left hand drill wont work. But if it was installed and had threaded in easily and was just over torqued until the head popped off, the left hand drill may work. Good Luck either way.
