Ken, Linda and other restorers of the Honda 600;
Caution, the "O" ring is thinner tan the casual "O" ring supplied at the local hard ware store.
1 - It is thinner, to use one that is to thick will crack the base of the intake manifold when you tighten it down. Or two thin and it does not seal.
2 - It must be resilient to fuels, Viton is best but Nitrile or Buna-N will work just as well. Neoprene, Butyl or Natural Rubber will all fail. Which can cause a fuel leak and besides catching on fire, there is short term fuel mileage loss and erratic carburetor function.
3 - The person I was getting them from has retired so I have no idea of availability. Also, the invoice noted special shipping and that was back in 2005.
