Started pulling parts off my engine so I can clean and repair them. When I removed the fan belt I noticed one of the idler pulley bearings was bad. The pulley has a blind pocket for the bearing. So putting it in is easy, getting it out......?
Anybody come up with a way to replce the bearing and shaft.
Drill a hole in the back and press out?
Then plug the hole?

Fan idler pulley bearings
Re: Fan idler pulley bearings
I have the same issue. I was considering going to a mower supply store and buying a regual pulley of the same size and putting a bolt thru it. Anyone see a problem with that?

Re: Fan idler pulley bearings
Paul, that is another thought but finding one the right daimeter might be an issue. Somebody must have pulled the bearing before.
Might have to make a puller of some kind.....
Where are the Honda experts?

Re: Fan idler pulley bearings
Thanks Bill, I knew you would have something!
Your Clever.
I wish you lived closer, I could bring the beer, talk mechanical stuff and press out my bearings.
Will have to make something, for 2 bearings!
:(
