Looking at your used cam chain ,  it appears to be stretched beyond the serviceable limits.  A new cam chain has about 3.25 inches of droop (below a horizontal line) and the chain in the picture appears to have about 5 inches of droop.  Then again,  the camera angle the lack of a good reference could be misleading me.

It's true, a rosary has the same number of beads as the Honda 600 cam chain has pins.   The difference between the two is that the used chain is closer to praying it won't break.   It is cheaper to replace a cam chain than 4 valves a cam and one of the end caps.

I recently ran a camchain through my fingers & cursed !!!!! No wonder I'm having bad luck with my engine !!
