Yes, and it works fairly well, I had to have a bolt made to accommodate the fitting (larger head). Yes, the original will work, however, chances of weakening the bolt is greater using the original.
The best way is to put on a remote filter and
it shows you the remote filter and gauges setup.
Simple, and you can setup a oil pressure gauge too.

I made the trip to the Japanese car show (great gathering of Honda 600's) Tim Mings did another great job of making 11 Honda 600 owners show up with their cars.
The Sedan with an oil cooler made it up and back (almost 400 miles) without a hitch. Oil temp going up (6AM) never exceeded 185 degrees, and in the heat of day caused the temp to clime up to 205 on the way back. Just think where it (oil temp) would be if there was no way to cool the oil. And, there has been some discussion on the group that talked about better oil technology - add to that the oil filter technology. Put a cooler and remote filter on your Honda 600 and you will be feeling the R&D of today, not 1970's.
