Hi All,
I am looking for a suitable electronic voltage regulator that will
replace the old, stock Tirril Type Hitachi TL1Z-33.
I've seen some for sale at the various auction sites from time to
time, but these seem to be aftermarket versions of the Hitachi TL1Z-61
(23500-29902)with a homemade wiring adapter which was used on various
70's Datsun B210's and pick-ups.
I have experimented with numerous types (Bosch adjustable regulators),
Ford, Delco and several combination rectifier/regulator motorcycle
units, but they all have their shortcomings.
Has anyone had success with a specific conversion that keeps the
battery in proper charge (13.5-15.0 VDC depending on RPM,load and
temperature), operates the Charge Lamp properly, mounts and wires into
the existing harness with no, or minimal cutting?
Also, is anyone using the above mentioned Datsun regulator? (it has a
six wire connection)
Thanks
