Hi All,
I'm getting closer to getting my N600 running but I am having some
trouble.
1. After replacing my fuel filter and fuel lines the filter doesn't
look correct even though I'm installing it the way I found it. I have
one nipple of the fuel filter facing down in the hole by the clamp, the
other nipple seems to high in relation to the the lower nipple of the
fuel pump. The routing of the hose going to the carb makes it bind on
the fuel fuel filter and the hole that it goes through.
Does it sound like I am installing it correctly?
2. I decided to install the new spark plugs and see if this will now
run, so far it wont.
After hooking up the fuel hose to the carb ( I flushed out the
remaining bad fuel in the line coming from the tank)I noticed that the
fuel pump didn't run very long considering the carb bowl was empty and
the line running from the pump to the carb was also empty. I do have
fuel flow to the carb but I have not removed the carb again to see if
the bowl is actually full. I did blow through the inlet on the carb to
see if the needle and seat shut off properly and on the bench it seemed
to work fine.
3. I have noticed that my spark is a very thin blue spark, not a fat
blue spark that I am used to seeing on cars with bigger coils. I have
asked about this on each board with no response, I guess no one has
checked for spark on these from the boards?
Thanks,
Mike
