I have been replacing some tuneup items on my Coupe and now I am worse off than when I started. So far I have...
- checked the position of the camshaft with the crank pulley at T - it's within a couple degrees of horizontal (less than 1/4 of a link)
- reset all the rocker gaps to .004
- replaced the condensor and points with new, and gapped to .014
- cleaned the NGK BR8ES plugs (discussed last month) and gapped to .032 as directed by an email from NGK
- replaced the air filter with a new one
- replaced the fuel filter with a new one
- replaced the 45 amp fuse with a new one, cleaned up the contacts at that fuse
Now the car cranks, but doesn't even try to fire. I went back and checked all the gaps - they are where I put them. I checked the fuel line at the carb with the key in the ON postition - gas is flowing. Where do I go from here?
Thanks, Steve

Re: stuck in the middle of a tuneup
Hi Steve,
Do you have 12 volts at the coil or on the blue wire when it is disconnected from the points?
Maybe the “new” condenser is bad?
You re-connected the blue wire at the point plate?
Have you tried to verify if you have spark from the coil?
Mike
