The only other speedometer certification I know about is your state
patrol. Problem is, the certificate usually costs money and embarrassment
from sitting in front of the flashing lights.

I have 10 inch tires on it..if i had 12 inch it would be the other way
around. if it said 55 i would really be going faster. 145/80r/10 69t
is what is on it.
my other car had a kink in the line and bounced all over the place.
this one has no kinks and the cable spins easy.

Just to make sure the speedometer is put in right. the last guy that
had it said he redid the engine and he has the cable run into the
passenger side of the firewall than over to the speedometer. should
it have gone over the engine and stright in? cant figure way it is
not working right. --- In anzhonda600owners@yahoogroups.com, Jeff

The speedo cable does enter the cabin through the passenger side firewall.  Does your speedo show any reading?  If not,  verify the cable is the correct length,  not broken,  and connected at both ends (to the speedo gear and speedo meter).
good luck,
Dale

ive never dealt with a honda 600  speedo cable at all so this is just a thought. on other cars ive had the same problem. what i have done is pull the speedometer cable itself out of the casing, spray it down with WD 40. wipe that off and apply white lithium grease up and down the length of the cable and put it back in the casing. if the thing is reading wrong and the speedo needle is bouncing, theres some resistance in there somewhere. Good luck!
