I need info on how to get parts to rebuild the stock 600cc motor. The
one I have has a rod knocking. Where can I get crank and rods? Can a
machine shop pull them apart and replace with new. Don't know where to
get bearings, rods, wristpins, pistons. I can take it apart and rebuild
but want good stuff going back in. THANKS LYLE

Re: Engine rebuild
I just rebuilt my 600 with 1mm oversize pistons and had a machine shop
perform the cutting. Process was fairly simple and theres lots of help
on these boards if you search for them. Download the repair manuals
and be careful to cross reference torque settings. Some books are wrong
or can be understood incorrectly. Check posts here to find other
references for torques. I purchased my parts from Oconnors in North
Carolina and Miles in California.
Good luck!
