Wheels and tires

Post by chalomheights »

I have four original wheels. They were sanded and painted black when
I restored my car. Currently there are Parelli P3 tires on them.
The tires have excellent tread, but I cannot vouch for the inside
condition. I am willing to sell all for the price of the wheels and
shipping. I think I also have a couple of hub caps that I can also
throw in.

Wheels and tires

Besides the ratings, and mileage, it's illegal.  And, think about having something DOT approved.  As Dale has said here and I have said before, there is a liability you take on as a driver.  All accidents are investigated, tire, brakes, suspension parts, fuel assemblies all have DOT approved items on the list.  And, if you are under insured or the insurance does not cover non-DOT approved items, they you are liable for the damages.
We have these safety items for a reason, and you know that if we start steering around the laws, the law makers will place road blocks in the hobby.
There are tires out there that are going for less than $90.00 each.  Members of this group are getting them from tire rack, Lucas, and yes, Coker tire has a vintage bias ply 480 x 10 for $108.00 each.  But there are other groups getting them for less.
