I picked up my N600 tonight, it was over at Tim Mings' geting some stuff done
to it. Had the steering box rebuilt, new brakes, Tim discovered when I put
the new timing chain in 4 years ago, it was off a tooth. got it on the freeway
to go home, and boy, did it run great! Tons of power! I was estatic!
About 25 min into the journey, it stalled. I got it started with a bit of
trouble, and continued on. About a mile further, it stalled again, and this time
wouldn't start. And right in the middle of the freeway, during rush hour! A
tow truck was there in minutes, and I paid extra to have him tow me home. I
called Tim on the way, and he got to my house at the same time as I (and the car)
did. The engine was seized; there was a major oil pump failure. Damn!
So I had extra power, for about 25 minutes, and it felt great! Never knew
these cars could run so good, the 4 years I had owned mine it was never close.
Sigh. Back to the shop it goes!
