Tom,
Be careful here. Bill mentions the remote starter will "attach directly
to your solenoid contacts". I'm not sure what type of remote start he is
using but the ones I have seen for sale are not intended to handle the 100+
amps of a starter motor. They are only intended to be connected between the
battery (you can catch this from the starter contact bolt) and the solenoid
coil (the electrical blade above the two starter contact bolts).
Hope you get the problem resolved,
Dale

Hi Dan;
The High Voltage you talking about only meets the requirements of the
needs of the motor. the switch is a standard unit that can be picked up and
a number of parts stores. It is called a remote starter switch normally
used to turn over a 6 or 8 cylinder engine to line up the timing marks by
bumping the starter. I use them to turn over the engine after putting them
back together to re-oil the engine before starting. As I said previously,
attach it to the positive (hot) side of the starter and the lead to the
switch (flat bladed connection) you can safely turn it over with out harming
the electrical system. It is much like placing a flat bladed screw driver
between the same to connections.
