Rear Window Trim

Post by Brian Bates »

Does anyone know of a source or product to replicate the chrome trim that surrounds the rear window?
Mine did not have when I bought and all I can find on-line is grainy photos of what it kinda looks like.
Getting close to getting her on the road again. Can't wait..
Thanks for your help!

The rear window trim is Not Trim! Originally the glass sat in a chrome channel and was glued onto the frame.
In the past I have used 1/2" chrome side body molding, the flexible stuff, looks really good.

This is the trim Miles is talking about.  It has to be warmed in the sun for a bit before laying it out on the windshield and taping it into the corners to make the curves.  Also use a primer on the glass to ensure it will stick.  Not everything sticks to glass.  Something like the 3-M product below.
