Maybe you don't understand what a double flare is? We use a special flaring tool and an extra piece that forces the flare back into itself giving the tube end extra strength.
Watch some vids on you tube. The hard part is holding the small diameter tube from slipping. Watch the one on the Eastwood double flare tool.

Not sure what this is in response to but I do understand now after watching a few videos on how it is produced. I was just confirming which was the correct flare for this application. Seems that the double is preferred since it is more robust with two layers of tubing where the surfaces mate. Thanks for confirming.
