Exhaust spacer thickness?

My N600 had no exhaust gasket ( 18220-623-670)  or exhaust spacer ( 18221-605-000)
(items 2 and 3 respectively on page 4-6 of the sedan parts catalog)
It looks like I have the correct exhaust gasket to install, but I may have to make the steel spacer.
Can anyone tell me how thick the spacer is?
Anybody got a picture of one they could post?

Is the exhaust spacer (3) even necessary if you have the exhaust gasket (2) in there?

Yes, it will not tighten up without it.
