noise test with stethoscope
Re: noise test with stethoscope
Hi Toni;
Great video and well done on the sound pickup through the stethoscope. It sounds like there is more associated noise from metal hitting metal in the cam area. What are the settings? If your rocker arms are more than .004 then there will be more noise. How does it sound with a few more RPM's?
Also your engine seems to be surging at idle a condition normally associated with dirty carb jets or the point’s breaker plate is warn.
And how are the springs on the advancer assembly?
Bill

Bill:
Cams valves are tight. Everything seems normal valves. The noise is accompanied by a vibration. Now I will disassemble the engine and hope to find fault.
Only one problem: I have not head gasket, or parts for the crankshaft.
I hope that in the group you can find what you need.
A greeting.
Toni.
