July 4th sale

Post by Bill »

Hi Dean;
There is only one spring on each caliper which should be on the lower of the two brake pad pins.  From what you are saying the caliper may be binding on one or both of the caliper cylinder finger like springs.  (the parts manual identifies them as Spring Yoke).
One of the pistons in the cylinder could be stuck too, in which case the caliper would have to be disassembled.

Hey Dean - do you know of any other Honda 600 owners in Santa Cruz? I had a guy calling me continuously from a Restricted number at the end of June, he said he just bought a car and is living in Santa Cruz....
One spring per caliper. Did you rebuild both calipers? A stuck piston could cause a drag.

Did u replace the rubber brake hoses going to the calipers?  Could be a collapsed hose that's letting fluid pass one direction but not the other.
