Flywheel/rotor pulling tool

I was wondering if anyone had a spare puller tool that they would like to sell? Or perhaps a neat trick to removing the flywheel? I believe the thread pitch is M23 x 1.5, can't find any bolts that size but it looks like an old toyota pickup has that size thread on the tie rods that could perhaps be modified.... thanks

My flywheel tool measures 24mm
Someone mentioned in the past that the hydraulic tensioner has the same size threads but I never double checked it. Metal on those is way too soft to use as a puller even if you had a spare one to cut to length.
Also... don't heat up the flywheel thinking it will come off. It's on a taper with no keyway and there are windings with plastic coating over the inside as it is also part of your alternator.

Thanks for the replies. Appears the thread is an M24 x 1.5. There are some metric hydraulic fittings in this size,and some odd car parts, it would appear that bolts are a rare thing. Some plugs are available on ebay that could perhaps be drilled and tapped for a pusher bolt ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/260929242662?ss ... 1968wt_954 ). I only need one, not 84 though!

Derek,
The threaded end of a Volkswagen swing axle works perfectly for pulling flywheels. You can cut the end off and weld on a not or just use the whole axle. Your choice, but they are easy to come by and work great.
