Just got it running, It goes in foward gears BUT jumps out of reverse.
Someone just rebuilt the top end and front drive axles have been worked on. Lots of N.O.S. parts, some never put on, Why would someone put so much time and money in it if the transmission was bad?
I got it from someone who got it from an estate in eastern Washington State, i juess the old guy died, was his 80's.
Looking at reciepts last dated 1990, so it's been sitting 20 years. Originall it was bought in Idaho, the key fob is an Idaho Honda dealer.
Anyone know the history of this car?? Orange '72 az600 coupe.
Please let me know. Steve.

Re: Jumps out of REVERSE, why?
Steve,
I would bet money on it having the wrong pin in the shift linkage. When going into reverse the shaft has to travel farther into the case than any other gear. When people knock out the original and lose it they replace with a 1/4-20 bolt. Replace the pin and you should be ok.
