N600 Pickup Truck - Official Honda conversion???

I received a request from the owner of a really nice 1971 N600 pickup truck. He purchased it from a Honda dealer who claims that in 1971-72 Honda converted 100 sedans into pickups as a promotion. Attempts to verify this with Honda USA have been unsuccessful - they can't confirm or deny.
The owner is very interested in any information on his vehicle, and I volunteered to help chase down any that might be available. As far as I know only 1 was converted. There's pictures of it in the Petersen's Japanese Imports car book from 1972.
As for Real Honda Trucks made by Honda only the TN360 & T500's were made in the 60s/70's and then later models as well but none ever looked like an AN600. All were like the Subaru 360 or Cony trucks sold in the USA. No TN or T series trucks sold in the USA. All were brought in privately.
