....and not all "rust free" "solid" 600s are located out west!
Though if it wer'nt for rust, there'd be no "HELMET"!! .... but SMOKINM&M is RUST FREE and came out of Ohio..... and "Goldie" (shown in video) has "usuall rust", but unusual, even as a lifetime NC car, the underside looks better than the "shiney side".
....and yes, it's FOR SALE !! .... asking $3000 and updated since the video,
car comes with a battery and a choice of tires.

> I disagree.  Plenty cars are rust free.  You may want to consider getting a car from the west coast.  I've owned 15 sedans/coupes and only one was a rust case (came from the coastal city of Santa Cruz).

> I started restoring a 1971 AN600 in January of 2009. It's been a "TREAT" to restore. I've worked on antique airplanes, helicopters and muscle cars. This is by far the most demanding. It all comes down to the fact that there are very few parts available. I have looked at dozens of these little cars in the last year and they all have the same traits. Rust, Rust and more Rust. I have learned with these cars that if someone says "It's a solid car", run the other way. There is no such animal! If someone says "It has the usual rust spots", it's worth looking at. I have finished all the metal repair (wheel wells, rocker panels, rear quarter panel spots, front fender, drip rail, floor pan). The car is currently being sprayed in DP40 and should soon be ready for the rest of the body work. My engine was running ok when I removed it from the car but needs a top end job. I hope to start the engine work in a couple of weeks. I documented the dissassembly as good > as I could and hope that the reassembly isn't too painful. I can't wait to see the little car back together. I miss driving it. If anyone is in the process of restoring one or considering restoring one, don't hesitate to contact me. I may not have the answer but I may be able to save you some time and or money. I posted some photo's of the restoration. I will continue to post as the process continues.
