Re: valve cover gasket
If you can't find a new coupe gasket, a sedan gasket will fit. Alternately you can add a shim washer under the head of the bolt for extra squish.

I don't like doing it this way, but you can also get some RTV sealant from Kragen/Autozone-- go for the orange one as it is more high-temp. It's essentially a tube of rubber that can be used to seal up oil-pan leaks, valve cover leaks etc. if the gaskets are no longer available (sometimes to put them on the corners of some existing gaskets for extra protection during installation). Just put down a bead, put everything together, and wipe off the excess.

Re: valve cover gasket
Permatex makes "the Right Stuff" I believe, and also the orange RTV sealant that I was talking about. A lot of the mechanical shops use the orange high-temp stuff (it's called Copper something) around here. I've never personally used "the Right Stuff". You can walk into any autostore, and they should be able to point you into the right direction.
