Just for fun

Post by Josh »

Last sunday I had some free time on my hands and decided to tinker with my sedan. I checked out the airfilter and unfortunately it was all gunked up. Last year when I bought a parts coupe I found inside under all the garbage two unused airfilters and other misc, so I used one in my sedan and the other I put away. Now that the filter I used is all gunked up and pluged making my car run rich I hesitated on using the last filter I have since they are a discontinued part. So just for fun I decided to make my own. I basicly took a Integra air filter and cut it to fit. took apart a junk filter I had and put it all together. It does not look too pretty if anything it looks ghetto but it works great and at the same time I am not using my last hard to find airfilter. So I wonder has anyone else in the group done something like this? There is a picture of it in the photo album under (air filter).

There are probably many "tricks of the trade" when it comes to orphan cars such as our 2cylinder Hondas.  Anything that helps keep these great little cars on the road is great and should be posted for all to potentially use.  Thanks Josh
