Any ideas on what to use as an air filter when supplies are exhausted?

Yeah,  I would like to know what people are using for replacement air filters.  I have been thinking about using one of the K & B air filters which the hot rodders use directly on their carbs OR the air filters I see on the motorcycle carbs.  I have also thought about buying an old GM air filter and cuttting it up and making my own filter box.  If I could buy a sheet of corrugated filter material,  I could make my own filter.
good luck,
Dale

"UNI Filters" offers a sheet of green air filter that I cut and hot glue
around the old air filter after carefully removing the entire old
element with a pair of pliers. You cut it a 1/2" wider; wrap it around
the wire mesh of the filter than hot glue the seem and if you want hot
glue the edges to the body. Clean in warm soap water spray a little
foam oil. Not good to remove the air filter body and put air filter on
end of carb ( foam type) they can catch fire. That carb kinda needs the
air box and "Billow" that funny rubber thing to "Atomize the air fuel
mixture" correctly ( I think)

I emailed about buying one of the air filters on Tuesday. I hope I got my request in before they're both gone!
Thanks!
