Hi all,
I can get my 1972 Z's bumpers rechromed for $300, (all 4 pieces). Is
this an OK deal? Seems reasonable. They have no pits on the outside
face. They have several small "wiskey dings" on the back set.
Is this a good price for the East Coast in Ga?
Thanks.
P.S. What is a set of Rechromed '72 bumpers gonna set me back if I buy
a set from someone here?
I also have a set of 1971 Z flat rears that I am going to take by and
see if they could be done.
Are they worth more than the 1972's?
Thanks, KC
Is $300 good on rechroming?

In California, where the EPA likes to get involved with our car hobby,
you can expect to pay $250.00 or more to get a sedan bumper redone, I
paid $150 for a grille, $250 each bumper, $85 each over front
overrider, $45 each rear bumperette, + misc on the last sedan I
restored 5 years ago. The grille came out like junk, with lots of pits
but shiny, very depressing and they can't plate it up with the Cyanide-
Copper process because of the toxicity and that's the only way to fill
pits.
