I liked the thread on going 90mph! I would like to here some opinions
on what tires were the best! I know my favorite was the michelin xzx.
There was so many companies that made a run of tires and disapeared.Any
body know how that works? I've used
bridgstone,uniroyal,avon,pirelli,ceet(worst),vredestine,riken and
kumhoe! I have a set of camacs(??) that I bought and Don't like them at
all. mounting them was difficult. Cheap looking, made in portugal. Will
use for 4 spare tires!!Miss those xzx. Bill ,miles, jump in on this
thanks!riceburner006
!0" tires NOT mags or 13" tires!!
Re: !0" tires NOT mags or 13" tires!!
I had two blowouts with Michelin XZX tires, both on the freeway, on the same day. Thumbs down for Michelin. Yokohama rules (Kumho a close second).

Re: !0" tires NOT mags or 13" tires!!
I have used Michelin, Dunlop, Pirelli, Goodyear, Yokohama, and Semperit. The only tire I ever had a problem with was Semperit. I never used a Semperit tire long enough to wear the tread out because the belts would break. I had bought 8 tires and 6 had a steel belt break. I still have 2 of the tires ....brand new.
One time I was on the freeway and the front of the car started shaking. I thought it was the road but then the front of the car started bouncing up and down. I stopped the car and when I exited, the left front tire looked like a balloon and it was getting bigger and bigger. I thought it was going to explode and I released the air from the tire. My friends had experienced similar problems with Semperit. I never used brand again.
I have not had any problems with Michelin XZX tires. Does Michelin still make a 10 inch tire? It seems like you are limited on tire brands in the 10 inch range.

My 600 had Michelin xzx on the ground and a Dunlop as a spare.

I also got a set of semperits and I never wore them out because after
awhile a bublle would form in the side walls! Even when mounted in
the rear!
