Brake Booster Bypass "T" part #?

Hi all,
This message is for all those who have bypassed their remote booster.
What is the part # and Manufacturer of the "T" that you are using. As
best I can tell I have a M10X1.5 inverted flare on the brake lines. I
have tried several local parts places but none have the T that I need.
Some have adaptors from standard to this pattern, but none the other
way.
I really do not want to replace all the brake lines from the MCyl to
the ruberized lines with a standard line and use these adaptors, but it
is looking like that is what is going to happen.

All I did was remove the short line from the booster to the master
cylinder and and ran the long line to the master cylinder in its place.
Never used any additional parts.

That works on a sedan, but a Coupe has 2 *out* lines from the
booster, one to each front wheel. Sedan only has the 1 line which you
can bend and reinstall to the master cyl.
The T fitting you seek will be hard to find as all the ones I have
seen are SAE. You wouldn't have to replace the steel lines all the
way down. Just remove the stock nuts, get the SAE nuts and a Double
Flaring tool, must be double flared and reinstall the new nuts to
your original lines. The tool I bought from Sears was only about
$25.00, lots cheaper than $350 for a booster.

Does that mean that the Sedan splits it's front brakes after the
booster with proportionating plate i.e. a "t"?
If so, can I install this "T" in place of the M.Cyl?
I appreciate it, I have never looked at a sedan close enough to see how
thay split the front brakes back to the other wheel.

Along the same line, here's a variation of a question I once asked either Miles or Bill off
group:
What about replacing a sedan booster with a coupe booster and simply capping one of the
two "out" lines and using the other for the sedan brakes? Not being a real mechanic �
perhaps it shows? :) � it seems like a logical possibility.

I put a coupe booster on my 600 sedan truckster, I guess it is still
that way, you could ask Betsy. I ran a 600 sedan front motor mount
10mm x 1.25 bolt with a copper washer to seal the hole on the
booster.

I don't know, it's too dirty under that area for me to want to go and
investigate. What's wrong with your booster?

Hi all,
One of the boosters I have was working and after about a year, It
just locked up and the front calipers just will not release after the
1st push. The other 2 boosters that I have are very non responsive
when installed. I have very little brake with them installed. I
just have the two extreams. I was attempting to open one of them up
once and it wouldn't budge.....
If anyone can give me a simple check list to see how to clean up the
lock down booster, I could probably save it. I just cannot get it
open.

Hi KC...
I've heard of people simply removing the booster all together. The booster was only offered in the US (standard) and as an option elsewhere. The car is light enough that it really isn't needed.
Some people have even reported better braking once the BB was removed.

Thanks Matt. My husband bypassed the booster and the
brakes seem to work fine now. He had already cleaned the
booster piston but that didn't help.
