Robin, are you still lurking out there? I tore Down Wanda the
Honda's engine yesterday and found that the oil filter gasket was
jammed in between the filter and the engine. looks like the engine
seized because of oil starvation....

What you found in your removal of the oil filter could not have cause
the oil not to go through the filter and into the engine. I would look
further for (as you put it) oil starvation.....
Best guess is the oil pump.
