Plug Wires

Went to my local NAPA, Autozone, and Parts America and no one has 8mm
solid core plug wire for my 71 Z600. Anyone have other ideas? thanks,

I'm running fine with carbon core. no real need for solid core plug wire.

I noticed JC Whitneys has spark plug wires which will work for you (several choices).  Go to their website or click on this:

High performance auto shops should have the spark plug wires since it is popular with drag racers.
How were you going to connect the spark plug wires to the igniton coil?  Are you using the stock ign coil?

Speed shops sell solid stranded spark plug wire by the foot. You need
7mm not 8mm. Look on line or on eBay for performance parts.

Solid stranded wires interfere with radio signals, they never
bothered my radio, but are someway outlawed by the FCC or somebody
like that. The wires that came with the car are solid stranded
copper. Like I said before, Performance shops carry that stuff in
several colors, but they say it's not for steet use. Some cars that
used solid wires had resister spark plug caps.

I see it differently, the 8mm wire is a tighter fit, but holds better, I
have found the 7mm wire to pull out.
