improvising door panels for 600 sedan

Anyone ever try improvising another car's door panels into the 600
sedan? With some cutting and trimming, another door panel has to
fit. My door panels are shot and I just noticed that a bunch of
black Miata door panels are selling for just $15 on ebay. Of course
we need the holes to line up. Any comments would be appreciated.
I also think we really need to come up with an parts interchange
file where we all can contribute what parts we've all used from
other cars or motorcycles to substitute for honda 600 parts. I'm
tired of searching for NOS parts.

Some of my old Novelty News newsletters listed interchange parts. I
used to write that stuff back in 1992? to 1996?, I think there was 23
issues in all. One day I plan to put them together in book form with
new info and without the old ads. Bill & Mike also contributed to the
newsletter as well as other 600 owners.

If your cardboard is in good shape, just have an upholstery shop make
new covers for your door panels.
