My recently acquired Z Coupe did not pass a safety check ( Prov. of
B.C.) as the tail pipe was missing. Exhaust fumes vent directly from
the main silencer. The parts I need are shown on page 142 of the
Honda Shop Manual. #1- Exhaust Pipe Mounting Cushion. #3- Tail Pipe
#4- Exhaust Pipe Clamp. If anyone can assist me to acquire these
parts it would be appreciated. I also need a windshield washer fluid
reservoir. Thanks
Z600 Exhaust System
Re: Z600 Exhaust System
i got to tell you this story that tail pipe rusted out twice in the 20 years i have had my Z 600 so anyway i found a 1.25 dia pipe at hardware store ( my have been a fence post ) no muffler shop had a 1.25 dies to bend it.I ended up at a sprint car frame builder that would try to bend it and he did it's not perfect but it cleared everything and it elimenated that large round chamber that rusted out. The 1.5 tube just didn't look as cute as 1.25 dia at rear of car. The fence post has been doing great so far. lol O i painted it a high temp black too

Hi Bob;
Just take it to a muffler shop and have a tail pipe put on it. Finding
a good usable tail pipe is almost impossible. I think Mike O'Conner was
having some made up. You might check with him.
