Thanks for the two replies on my carb idle problem. The anti-diesel
solenoid was fine. I cleaned the idle jet under the black rubber
plug, replaced the o-rings on the other two jets and now it idles the
way its supposed to. Also found a local honda motorcycle shop owner
who knows the 600 and the Keihin carb very well, and he was very
helpful with some of my fairly naive questions (also donated the o-
rings). I always send my Rochester Quadrajets out to be rebuilt, but
this do-it-yourself project turned out fine, and I learned a few
things - not enough to tackle a Quadrajet though.
New exhaust system goes on Tuesday, then we're going cruising.
