Had the pleasure on the 4th of July of running the 600 in a parade, thanks to
Tim Mings and his family, Hugh and Betty. We had 14 600s show up in the town
of Sierra Madre, California (right outside Pasadena) for their annual event.
We behaved like Shriners, as we crossed paths, drove across each others' paths,
reversed directions, and did it all over again along the 2 mile route. People
cheered us on, waved at us. and were highly amused by the colorful antics the
600 performed. 13 of the 600s were sedans, one of those was converted to a
pick-up truck, one driven by Hugh Mings was shortened. It was a great bunch of
people who participated, and we all look forward to doing it again next year! I
took a lot of photos, and will post them in the next week or so. Too bad the
Mings' daughter wasn't able to attend, or she would have driven their
one-of-a-kind stretch Z600 limo!
