I wish I had access to the half bulb that you used, but I was in
need of something quick, since my weatherstripping was all crumbled,
and looked terrible. So far, I have had no leaks, and I admit it is
not a (perfect) replacement, but it does look much, much better. I
just hate to have to slam the door on my favorite toy. You can use
this weatherstripping with out cutting it though. And it works fine
if you shut the doors hard. I am sure it would lessen as time went
by. But you cant beat it for a quick (look good) fix.
