The new issue of Classic & Sports Car has a write-up on the original Cannonball Runs from the early 70's. One of the pictures from 1972 shows a Z600 lined up aside of a giant motor home.
There's nothing in the caption or the text about the car.
I would have guessed it was Miles, but I don't think he had his license in '72.
