Brake hoses
Brake hoses
Miles, does food grade for the brake hoses mean we shouldn't use them? I have a new set but haven't installed them.
Re: Brake hoses
sounds kinky to me! Maybe you should consider another group, like the anger awareness groups on the internet!

Re: Brake hoses
i'm no mechanic, but i do know a little about chemicals (VERY
little). food grade means it was manufactured with materials that
are also used in the manufacture of food. in other words, the
materials used to manufacture these brake hoses are also safe to use
to manufacture certain food stuffs.
for example, sometimes certain oils will be used in the manufacturing
of plastic. some of these oils will be food grade because they may
also be used in the manufacturing of certain foods.
materials that are food grade are usually of higher grade than other
materials, as they must pass stringent test to be labeled as safe for
human consumption.

Re: Brake hoses
If we are speaking about the clear with the nylon criss-crossed in it, I found that the local Dixie Line lumber store has Neoprene, which works quite well. Nothing clouding in a year.
