Would anyone care to share their experiances regarding the stability
of the small Honda's. Does a big truck passing or a strong wind blow
then around excessively?
Thanks

As to if the Honda 600 is capable of tipping over at free way speeds,
anything will tip over given the correct steerage and appropriate English to
the road traveled. But their character is as Riceburner has said, low and
very stable at all speeds. Now then, Change your 3.5 in. wide factory rims
with 5in aluminum after market rims and the world changes to not only
stable but you feel the urge to spend time with the Indy 500 group.
Stiffen up your rear shocks and the roll of a corner seems to apply to all
other vehicles. Rebuild you engine with Mike O'Conner's Hi-pro Pistons,
Tim Mings reground cam, one of the Hi-pro cam chains along with a rebuilt
steering rack, new points breaker plate and points and add carbon core plug
wires, there will be a new meaning in 0 to 75 times. For added smiles tuck
yourself at the left corner of an 18 wheeler and back off on your gas
peddle, then put in the clutch while your carried down the road at even
greater speeds. The rest of us just like to park them at the local AM/PM
and watch the Girls check them out.

I usually put my honda 600 away for the winter in the shop. we get
alot of snow in klamath falls. but who can resist taking it out for a
drive. It did very well at first, then I started going round and
round and finaly came to a stop facing the other way. when my head
stopped spinning, I put it back in gear and headed back for the shop.
I think i have a rear brake hanging up or a out of round drum. I
still drive it in the winter, just when the ice is off the
streets !!!
I was going to head down to grass valley this weekend to pick up
the 3 honda cars but i spoke with Jim this morning and he said we
should try for next weekend cause the rain has made it to muddy to
get to the cars. after loading 2 on a trailer and one in the back of
the truck, we didnt think I would get out, even with 4-wheel drive.
and now the snow level here is dropping to 4000' tonight. we will
probably get hammered good with snow. so will attempt next weekend. I
will let you all know how it goes....

Well my name is Quentin frome new zealand Christchurch, a part of
the country well known for the strong nor' wester winds... traveling
down the tree lined roads with breaks in them for gates and so forth
can be something of a challenge.. I have 145 sr 10's Toyo brand steel
belted tyres on board and to be honest as long as you can semi
predict wind from either nature or other vehicle the stability is
just fine. I have had my 600 doing upwards or 75MPH and it felt just
as stable as at 40mph... shingle roads though at say 50mph.. that is
a differnet story.. apart from the corrigations, the car being so
light in the rear you really have to work the steering wheel to keep
her in a straight line.. not something for the faint hearted for sure.
But if you are like me the challenge of it is a real rush.
Regards to you all
