Does anyone have any tips on how to keep a sedan rear mount from
tearing apart? Over the years I had to replace mine with new ones
probably 5-7 times! I rigged it up with a small wedge shaped piece
of hard rubber placed inbetwean the bottom part and the load bearing
piece-now that their N/A.
sedan rear engine mount.
Re: sedan rear engine mount.
on my sedan mount it has two small bolts that bolt it too subframe and the rubber was torn a bit, any way i found some liquid rubber,i put some hard plastic on flat side and filled hole area in with liquid rubber i haven't tried it out yet i believe it may be too stiff but it will hold engine up, hopefully not too much body vibration, this only thing i came up with.i work with aircraft parts and we use this rubber stuff allot we call it 1422 B1/2 it gets pretty stiff it's kept in the freezer until needed has a working life of a few hours and a cure time of days
