front strut replacement

Hi everyone, just changed out the rear shocks on my sedan to some kyb shocks. Now its time to get the front going. Does anyone know of a alternative/replacement part that's compatible? Thanks to Bill ive read the tutorial on refilling the front struts, which I will do if that's the only option.
However I dont see any signs of a leak, so if there is no leak how would replacing the oil make a difference? Wouldnt it mean the internal components are worn? If so, is buying a rebuild kit the way to go? Or does a mere change and refill do the trick. Does the oil get worn too thin and not do its job?

In a word yes, the strut oil will loose its viscosity over time and there is contamination from just moving up and down and rubbing against the bushings and seals.
Changing the oil in the strut really helps.  Is there a cartridge to replace what is there?
Not that I know of.
Although there is a Honda 600 owner who is making a replacement strut.

Thanks for the link Bill.
I did take the time to review the slide. My concern is if there is an actual number of ounces versus what is taken out. One side of my damper had more than 3.5 ounces and the other had less.
The slide indicates 3.5 ounces was taken out and an equivalent should be replaced.
Is there a standard amount that it should be filled with as a factory setting?
Sorry for making things complicated just want to make sure I do this correctly.
How many ounces of oil has everyone else been replacing?
