This is a broad question, but is there anything particular I should watch out for?
Loose timing chain?
(Does anyone make or rebuild timing chain tensioners? It doesn't look like fabricating one would be that difficult.
I had a sedan in the early 80s that I rebuilt but didn't replace tensioner. The chain eventually cut through the side of the cylinder wall - costly error.
Don't want to do that again. )
Also, weight of starter caused problems with the aluminum engine and eventually became out of align with ring gear. Had a lot of trouble with that.
I really like this car, but good money after bad?
