I need to get a Honda Z600 from Benton KY to Hudson, MA, and I am hitting a stone wall with most conventional truckers and transport companies. If I do not pick this thing up soon, I will lose the car and my deposit. Is there anyone traveling this route or willing to take it part way and meet me with the car. I am happy to pay a fair price for the haul. Is anyone coming from that area to our meet in July?
As an alternative, are there any members in that area who could pcik it up and store it for me until I nail down the transport.
Please help if you can. You can respond to me at chasgould@... or by telephone at XXX-XXX-XXXX
Thanks,
Chas

Just curious: Does it run? Can it be driven?

Re: Transport of Honda Z600 from Kentucky to Massachusetts
I'm sure you've heard of uShip.com. I've had good luck for the most part and you can get a fast pick up. I have found that motorcycle/atv/golfcart movers are worth looking for. They are often willing to move minicars like the 600's and can be much much cheaper than conventional truckers. I avoid conventional open car carriers. There is a lot of on/off loading and the narrow wheel base and exposure to the elements isn't a good combo. They are often arranged through brokers and your car might travel on several different trucks enroute. I like to work with smaller companies with good feedback who will haul the whole way. They do what they say they will do, for the most part. The feedback on uShip is very handy. Many bike haulers have enclosed trailers, too.
