Hi Eric;
    There are a lot of carpet places to purchase carpeting from.  And, there are many that have a plastic backing on them.  JC Whitney has a loop carpet in black that is much like what you are talking about.  I used it and with the plastic backing you can warm it up (like laying it down in the sun) and form it to your cars interior.  The original edges were lock looped, but finding a shop that will do the edges is a real chore.  A simpler way is to do it by hand, but getting the distance for the loops is challenging unless you can get a regular upholstery shop to run the edge through the sewing machine without thread, to make the holes (have the carpet with a plastic backing so you can see them) then sew evenly spaced thread loops and have it look just like the originals.  There were also heel pads (2 of them) for the Coupe one flat and one on the side of the hump.  They too will have to be sewn in.   The original snaps can be cleaned up and painted black like the new and used again with out a problem unless the carpet is too thick.

Update on White Post Restorations ( http://www.whitepost.com/brakeform.html ) spoke with them to day and if the vacuum diaphragm on the power booster is shot they can not rebuild the power booster.  So, check the diaphragm on your booster before calling them up.  They can do the rest of it and all the wheel cylinders and front calipers.

Does anyone have the size of the roll pin on transmission linkage going into the trans?  I have a bolt in mine and won't go into reverse.

Hi Herb;
    And anyone else that is looking for a split pin for the shift shaft.  It is 18mm long, 8mm dia. So Harry Lineback went to NAPA and picked up some 5/16 X 3/4 in split pins and they work great.  Just squeeze them in with a channel lock.
    Thanks Harry!
