Re: Front brake lines
DOT approved hoses can be made up very cheaply from a good hose - brake shop. 10 or 20 bucks each. they can be made up to look exactly like the OEM and are not dry rotted from sitting on the shelf for 40 years. I think the two hoses cost me under $25.00 at a local shop in Olympia

I am very surprised you are having problems with honda600shope. he has been supplying parts for all of us for a very long time. I took my old ones to Napa auto parts store where I live and they sent them in for me to get new ones made. seems to me it was like $20 each.

No, he has been supplying parts since June 2011 which is less than a year. And at best they were one time offers. As another member has said there are plenty of good shops out there that can provide brake lines for a lot less and in a timely fashion and they also provide a warranty with their products.

is where I go to get quality brake parts and restorations. Are they cheap, no, but they stand by their work and are professionals in what they do.

Crankshaft movement

Bob is right and there are some other things that could have been left off, like the main bearing pins. They could have galled in their position or have been left out when the engine was rebuilt. But I would guess that the pins were left out (there are 3 of them) and although there could be galling in the engine case pin groves it's kind of hard to believe that all 3 groves are warn that much. Go to page 1-14 in the Honda 600 Coupe parts manual number 19 to see what I am talking about.
I had an engine that was making weird sounds and when I pulled it apart the rebuilder had left the clutch side main bearing and retainer off the engine crankshaft. And it had run like that for a number of years. Meaning that Honda over built the crankshaft with 5 main bearings and to have that much movement in the crankshaft something would have to be missing.
